In collaboration with the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs (IIHA) at Fordham University, this event brings to the United Nations Headquarters a selection of the Blockchain technology demonstrations that will be showcased at the Humanitarian Blockchain Summit on 10 November 2017.
The objective of this pre-summit event is to increase the knowledge of Blockchain technology among diplomats, representatives of civil society organizations, and personnel of United Nations Agencies, Funds and Programmes.
Solution providers from the private-sector, academia and other entities will conduct demonstrations of innovative Blockchain tools and projects for humanitarian and other applications.
Participation in this pre-summit is limited to individuals holding a United Nations identification card, such as Member State delegates, representatives of civil society organizations, and personnel of United Nations Agencies, Funds and Programmes.
