Effective evaluation of user engagement is paramount for companies and organizations operating information retrieval systems. In this talk we will explore the many facets of such evaluation through discussions on how short term and long term engagement yield different effects and produce various challenges for design and implementation.

This Blue Bag Lunch will be relevant to anyone interested in, or working in, search, website content or web design, information management, and UX design.

The presentation will be followed by an open discussion.
