What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

I am from a military background back home, but after coming here and working as a data analyst, I find it amazing as a career in technology. This experience has inspired me to learn more about technology and get myself more involved in this sector.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

Working as a data analyst with an intelligence background, my favorite IT projects are the UNMISS KLM project, FAID, and the SAGE project. As an analyst, I try to contribute to most of the KLE projects that help the senior leadership assess the upcoming threats and mitigate the loss of life of innocent people. These projects keep us connected 24/7 through networking, and almost all the information we need is readily available.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Technology is the future. To hold a good position in our careers, society, and beyond, women must become more acquainted with this field.
