What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

I wanted to use my skills and knowledge in technology to help those who are helping the world by making their jobs easier and more productive.

What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?

The UNHQ High Density Wi-Fi Infrastructure project was implemented during the United Nations renovation. I was responsible for building the Wi-Fi core network, as well as configuring and managing a thousand Wi-Fi access points installed throughout the UN campus in New York. Additionally, I helped plan and implement the upgrade of the UNHQ Internet Links, configuring the bandwidth increase to make it redundant and highly available.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Be confident about your skills and never stop learning.
