What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

As architects, we currently major on Computer Aided Designs. Therefore, it was just fate that I got an opportunity as an architect at UN. It is therefore inevitable that as I discharge my duties, technology is at the centre of designing, documentation and presentation.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

We are developing a web platform at our Energy office and it's quite exciting because we are merging aspects of the content and how users get to interact with and experience the content through the platform. I enjoy putting my UI/UX skills to use. I contribute to research, development and illustrations.

My contribution is to ensure prompt and accurate laboratory data entry on the EarthMed including working on other Microsoft sheets.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

We have the ability to break down complex concepts into simple, understandable ones, and that is our superpower. This is a strength both in delivering projects and helping others navigate tech. Women in Tech belong in this space; let's anchor ourselves deeply. We belong.
