What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?
Interest in tech! I am naturally drawn to technology and I enjoy exploring new digital tools and learning how they work. In addition, because I want to make a positive impact on the world through my work at the UN. Technology has the power to make a significant impact and in my job, this is achieved by creating innovative products and solutions, and improving communication and collaboration.
What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?
My favorite IT project at the moment is a business intelligence type: the development of ROSI (Rights Open Source Information) dashboard. I managed datasets to consolidate data from multiple sources to build this interactive platform to provide insights on country performances concerning human rights. I also integrated a backend system to it and tested ROSI for usability and performance. Now, ERTs (Emergency Response Teams) can get contextual overview of a set of countries in areas such as human development, conflicts, and governance.
