What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

I am an Electronics Engineer, serving in Pakistan military for the last 10-plus years in the area of Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. I’m currently deployed in the United Nations Interim Force in Abyie (UNISFA) as the military observer. In my 10 years of service, I have run many projects related to my field of expertise.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

I worked on the Sage application, to incorporate data into the application. Additionally, I did analyses of the incidents posted and extracted results for further observation.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

It’s an era of women's empowerment and in every field, women have proven their worth. They are the best managers, philanthropists, engineers, doctors, etc. The world is open for them to conquer it.
