What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

The passion for digitalization of Weapon Systems in Data Collection, analysis and implementation for prompt and accurate decision making led me to a career in Information Technology. Traditional methods of data collection needed to be improved for effective and timely decision making.

 

What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?

Of all the projects conducted at UNIFIL, my favorite is the protection of the VIPs within the area of Operations. I maintain, troubleshoot and calibrate the Agile 127 Remote Control Weapon Systems whenever there is a malfunction.

 

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

There are a lot of technological opportunities available. I challenge all women to break all barriers of gender inequality and get involved.
