I was drawn to a career in technology at the United Nations due to my profound interest in leveraging cutting-edge innovations to address global challenges. My 17 years of experience in software engineering and ongoing doctoral research in AI uniquely position me to contribute to the UN's mission of utilizing technology for positive change.
What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?
My favorite IT Project was the Client Support Portal. It was a project initiator and an innovative idea. I served as the project manager and application designer for this project.
What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?
For women aspiring to enter the tech field, I'd offer this advice: Embrace your passion, seek mentors, and never underestimate the value of your unique perspective and contributions. The tech world thrives on diversity and your voice matters. We are multitaskers and very keen to learn, develop and have innovative ideas to change the world.
