What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

As a master’s graduate in Cybersecurity and Human Factors, I applied for several jobs and internships in Information Technology. In 2022, I was selected for the Cybersecurity Intern position that I have applied for at the UN ESCWA, Beirut Lebanon. After completing 6 months of the internship, I applied for the position of Cybersecurity Analyst. My internship provided a great opportunity to learn, and the subsequent role as a Cybersecurity Analyst further enriched my knowledge and skills.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

It was more like working on Cybersecurity Audit Recommendations, which involved establishing ICT Technical Procedure Documents related to various topics within the field of Cybersecurity. Contributing to the establishment of these essential cybersecurity technical procedure documents was a great experience, as they demonstrate ESCWA's commitment to cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.
