What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

I aspire to engage in meaningful work, research, and projects that have a positive impact on people and society on a global scale. The UN’s values closely align with my commitment to addressing global challenges through intergovernmental collaboration and a dedication to inclusive, sustainable development, as well as peace, and security. This alignment fuels my passion for leveraging technology to enhance collaboration, improve data accessibility, and drive innovative solutions that empower communities – ultimately fostering a more equitable and resilient world for future generations.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

Digital transformation has fundamentally reshaped data management worldwide, making data governance increasingly crucial for policy formulation, risk management, service improvement and accountability. These shifts have driven innovation across all sectors of socio-economic development.

As a consultant, I have been contributing to the advancement of Mongolia’s national data governance framework, which is one of my favorite projects. This initiative is part of a United Nation’s project on data governance that aims to assess and strengthen data governance in selected countries, including Mongolia. It examines the data governance framework in the context of digital transformation, identifying strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement to align with global standards.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

The STEM field requires logical and critical thinking abilities. Consistency and a passion for learning are essential as technological development advances rapidly. Don't fear failure. Embrace change, ask questions, seek help and stay curious. Your passion will guide you to the right place.
