What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?
I am thankful to Mr. Franscisco Catimbang, who brought me into the technology field at the United Nations. Also, I am grateful to my parents, who pushed me to serve as a United Nations Volunteer (UNV) in 2000. They serve as my inspiration, and I will always return my gratitude to them because I am proud that I started at UNV through which I realized the importance of working in humanitarian aid.
What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?
My favorite IT projects are in the field of Information Security and Service Management. As part of those projects, I can show my abilities and knowledge. Also, I can prove the importance of sharing my capacities as a technical person in serving my clients and at the same time, explaining to them the importance of being vigilant in protecting their digital identity.
What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?
Those women interested in pursuing a technology field continue to learn and enhance your knowledge in IT. At the same time, always enjoy learning advanced technology and think of it as part of your day-to-day activities while enjoying. Be proactive in engaging with other IT experts and do more research and action plan to protect your digital identity.
