What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

I have started my career at UN as an Executive Associate just 6 months ago, however assessing the needs of Information Security Awareness 2 UN Azerbaijan level, and taking into account my extended and solid experience in Information management and security, I have decided to raise awareness amongst UN staff and by this ensure cybersafe working environment, and follow data protection rules etc. This is a very valuable asset for overall UN to benefit from the opportunity of F2F sessions, on-site awareness and assessment which should be done on a regular basis to ensure change management, end-user responsibility.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

As mentioned above, IS awareness is key to ensure cybersafe working environment, data privacy friendly rules and regulations. Alongside with UN IT solutions awareness as well has to be raised. My project is IS awareness covering not only cybersecurity but data protection data privacy to end-users including high level management as decision makers. This initiative can be continued not only Azerbaijan country level but in regional and global level
