OICT-Accenture Strategic Collaboration

The United Nations is expanding its ability to harness artificial intelligence to tackle global challenges and accelerate innovation through a new multi-year Public-Private Partnership between the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) and Accenture, a global professional services company with extensive expertise in AI, digital transformation and technology innovation.

This unique partnership brings together the UN, Accenture and other ecosystem partners to design and launch AI-driven projects that address key global challenges, including climate change, healthcare, education and sustainable development. Through these initiatives, the partnership aims to demonstrate how leading-edge AI technologies can be applied responsibly and effectively to advance the work of the Organization and create positive impact worldwide.

In addition to developing new solutions, the collaboration will support the broader adoption of AI technologies and methodologies across the Organization. By creating opportunities for knowledge-sharing, experimentation and hands-on development, the initiative will also help build the skills, expertise and partnerships needed to support the UN's evolving AI ambitions.

OICT will continue to share updates on projects and solutions developed through the partnership and showcase how AI can be harnessed responsibly and effectively to support the work of the UN and advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

We are proud to collaborate with the UN to help turn its bold AI ambitions into real-world impact. Our role is to bring the right combination of technology expertise, transformation experience and ecosystem relationships so promising ideas become practical solutions the organization can trust, scale and sustain. Equally important, we will help the UN build the confidence, skills and responsible practices to put AI to work where it matters most.
