What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

I joined the UN because I believe data and technology can truly make the world a better place! For me, tech is a way to solve real problems, support people, and make smarter decisions that align with global goals. Working where innovation meets finance and public service feels like the place where I can create the most meaningful impact.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

One of my favorite projects has been launching our first Innovation Lab, which is a space to share ideas, collaborate, and innovate. Organizing our hackathon with Columbia University was a highlight: hearing new perspectives while reinforcing how responsible investments and data support the SDGs.
I am also proud of creating automated workflows that make business decisions more data-driven and give colleagues back valuable time. Seeing technology directly improve how we serve beneficiaries is truly rewarding!

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Go for it! Technology turns ideas into reality. Stay curious, keep learning, and stay ahead of market trends, as the industry moves fast. Diverse voices fuel innovation, and your perspective matters. Start today and be part of the change.
