Why did you decide on a career at the UN?

My decision to pursue a career at the UN was influenced by the nation’s support for accelerating the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals across the HDP Nexus. I was very drawn to the chance to work with professionals from different fields and in a multicultural setting. Furthermore, my personal values and career goals are closely aligned with being a part of an organization that is essential in promoting coordination and collaboration with partners for national development towards the global impact.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

My favorite technology initiatives are: Develop AI capacity-building – 365 Copilot Early Adopters – Showcase & Use case, Asia Pacific AI ready in Minutes Summer Series, Secretariat-wide Rollout of M365 Information Sensitivity labels, and Unite Academy Fall 2025 Session – to enhance data literacy and increase awareness of data and analytics within the organization. These customized programs serve as a valuable boost to my professional development to enhance my workplace digital technology skills. I actively participate in learning modules, share information sources with colleagues in the workplace, and apply the gained knowledge to my routine tasks, such as data analysis. I also utilize AI ethically and maintain awareness of digital security best practices.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Learning is never outdated - continue to learn continuously and stay agile to adapt and grow.
