Why did you decide on a career at the UN?

It is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a noble humanitarian cause, leverage my technical expertise, and grow both personally and professionally within the expansive framework of the UN.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

Within the Information Management Unit, we developed a platform called DAVIS (Data Aggregation and Visualization Service), an innovative tool created by OCHA ROWCA to facilitate direct access to critical humanitarian data across West and Central Africa. My role involved, and still partially involves, ensuring the accurate importation of data into the platform and maintaining its reliability, and keeping it up to date.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Have confidence in yourself and your ability to contribute meaningfully to the work. Each of us has earned our place at the table, consistently demonstrating our skills, professionalism, vision, and leadership. Let's take every opportunity to debunk the myths, paving the way for more women to step into the field of technology.
