Why did you decide on a career at the UN?

With a media degree, I plan to explore stories across the world and leave a positive influence. The United Nations has a goal and a work culture that offers the best opportunities for me to achieve these goals.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

My favorite technology project was working on the UN OICT's #DigitalUnite campaign, where I helped the communications team create numerous promotional videos showcasing OICT teams and initiatives for public awareness. I particularly enjoyed learning about the use of AdTech (Advertising Technology) in the Inspira project, the United Nations Human Resources Gateway, while producing a promotional video highlighting Inspira's emerging technologies for public audiences.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Never be afraid to ask questions and reach out to your peers and mentors. Diversify your network with people who want to see you succeed. Opportunities can open to you where you least expect them.
