Why did you decide on a career at the UN?

After a career building digital payments ecosystems across Europe, India, and South America, and leading the transformation of a traditional Central American bank into a digital-first institution, I’ve seen how technology shapes organizations, enables growth, and drives real-world impact. My passion for automation and future-ready solutions has always centered on designing platforms that empower teams and maximize operational efficiency.
Now, at UNJSPF, I’m proud to be building a secure, scalable foundation for global investments- helping create a lasting value for pensioners around the world. Joining the UN was a natural next step: it’s about using my experience to strengthen an organization where digital innovation directly supports trust, governance, and financial security for thousands of international beneficiaries. Technology isn’t just a tool- it’s a backbone of resilience, agility and progress.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

My favorite project so far has been leading the consolidation of technology platforms across the Fund- an effort focused on building technical synergies, unlocking significant cost efficiencies, and harnessing the outstanding talent within our organization. Effective tech consolidation and management rely on robust monitoring and reporting, ensuring every decision is informed by accurate data. It’s exciting to drive the development of a unified organizational monitoring system that supports the full lifecycle of cybersecurity and vendor management. Outlining our IT vision through the ongoing IT strategy project is another highlight- stay tuned for more as we shape the future together.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Own your voice and your vision - don’t let self-doubt or stereotypes hold you back- your perspective is needed now more than ever. Speak up, share your ideas confidently, and remember that you’ve earned your seat at the table. Technology advances when diverse voices shape its future, so be bold and let your ambitions guide you.
