What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

To contribute to the absolute reduction in GHG emissions by leading the co-creation of climate system-penetrating solutions (i.e. linking behaviour change solutions of citizens to technology solutions of businesses, and policy solutions of developing countries' policymakers).

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

1) CTCN's Technical Assistance (TA) projects, which supported 110 countries to date. For example, CTCN's TA project for Zambia developed a national system of innovation for digitalisation from 2023-2024. 2) CTCN's Global thematic capacity building (CB) programs, which I have developed and implemented every year since 2022. For example, we delivered 2 to 3-day in-person CB programs on digitalisation in agriculture, green hydrogen, water innovation technologies, and AI for 164 parties' climate technology focal points of the UNFCCC. These programs bring technology experts and policy makers to discuss impactful TA project development, to benefit developing countries to achieve their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Don't let the fear of looking dumb stop you from asking questions. It is only the failures that make us (as a human being) grow.
