What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?
I wanted to do design for humanity, so that my work would uplift and impact real people in need of justice, especially children, women and marginalized communities and societies.
What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?
The Programme for Legal Empowerment and Aid Delivery (PLEAD) project. The project is funded by the European Union and jointly developed by Kenya’s national partners including the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), National Council on the Administration of Justice (NCAJ), Witness Protection Agency (WPA), Probation, After Care Service (PACS) and the Kenya Judiciary.
What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?
Stay current and adapt to change. Be consistent for the betterment of humanity.
