What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?
It always had been my dream to work with UN and felt privileged when an opportunity came on my way. Additionally, the position was equally exiting with opportunities to learn and grow. Being a part of UN family now, I enjoy every bit of it.
What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?
Our team undertook the challenge of migrating the websites from data centre to Azure cloud. Coordinating with the stakeholders, identifying and escalating the issues to respective technical focal points, managing the downtime, coordinating UAT, upgrading tasks within tough deadlines were some of the key challenges which I faced.
What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?
Always be optimistic of your career growth and keep your brains and heart open to learn and grow. Be passionate and honest in your job.
