The Reboot the Earth 2025 hackathon series is entering its final phase with two upcoming events that will continue to empower young innovators to use artificial intelligence (AI) and technology to address the climate crisis in agriculture.

The next stop will be Silicon Valley, USA (7–8 November), where technologists, students and startup leaders will come together in the heart of the global tech ecosystem to push the boundaries of what’s possible in climate-smart agriculture.

Later this year, a virtual hackathon will open participation to youth innovators around the world, providing a platform for diverse teams to collaborate online and develop AI-powered digital public goods for sustainable agriculture and climate resilience.

These events form part of a global series organized by the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) and co-hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Carnegie Mellon University, Salesforce, and the Digital Public Goods Alliance.

Since its launch in early 2025, Reboot the Earth has brought together hundreds of young changemakers across continents to build open, data-driven, and inclusive technology solutions for people and the planet.
