What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

I found that as a Data Scientist, my work could have many possible applications in the industry and organizations. But, I wanted my work to have a positive social impact. Until now I have collaborated with the FAO and UNODC on very interesting and high-impact projects.

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

Work at the UNODC-INEGI Center of Excellence, participating in Data Science projects, statistics and process design for Latin America and the Caribbean.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Science and technology have very interesting and fun fields with many areas of specialization. The feeling of solving a problem is gratifying. Let's put prejudices aside and close the gap!
