What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

United Nations is a competitive employer in the market, it has been a privilege to be part of it particularly in the Technology Sector where I work. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , and therefore I wanted to enhance my career .

What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?

Migrating from windows7 to windows 10 I had to sensitize clients on what to expect with the new Operating system , for example the new interface and also to emphasize to them that their data will not be lost during the migration. Running constant updates to make sure the computers are working fine before they are handed back to the users as well as training users on how to navigate through the new OS.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

1.That they should believe in themselves that they can do anything 2.At one point they may receive criticism because of their gender but they shouldn't take it personally 3.Seek mentorship from the women that have been there before you, It adds much to your career growth and self esteem 4.Keep a good work/ life balance, everything will fall into place 5. Never stop learning, use every opportunity to learn something new for Technology is dynamic
