What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?

I have always been curious to know why and how systems function or look the way they do. The field of technology at the United Nations provided me with an opportunity to explore and learn IT systems from the inside out.

What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?

My favourite IT project was the implementation of an ERP system, deployed across 30 duty stations. As part of the deployment team, I was assigned the role of data extraction, validation and testing. In addition, I provided post deployment support for the HRMS-workforce management module, which included 30 processes.

What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?

Have an "I can do this" mentality. Don't be afraid to fail. Always make excellence your primary intention.
