What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?
I started my career with the United Nations as an Information Technology Assistant in 2010. It was quite a new experience because at that time there were few female staff working as IT professionals.
What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?
Working on cabling for the UN compound in Baghdad, it required a lot of hard physical work and not just sitting behind the computer and typing.
What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?
Some people might give you some hard time and may say offensive words, take it as an advantage to turn it in your favor. Do what you love and gives you life, Technology is a wide field and fun to pursue.
