What brought you to a career in technology at the United Nations?
The noble mandate of the UN—to serve the people, sustain global peace and support global development.
What has been your favorite IT project at the United Nations and what was your technical contribution?
It's a series of progressive projects with the theme of providing an enterprise collaboration platform to facilitate better and easier information creation, sharing, distribution, storage, and protection, a platform that supports the full information for the business entities to do their daily job.
What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?
The ICT field, like all other STEM fields, requires robust knowledge, scientific logic and critical thinking. Hardworking and professionalism are the 2 very important building blocks for a successful career in this field. In addition, be persistent, open to change, learn from effective leaders, proactively connect to the business domains you are supporting, and most importantly enjoy the work.
