NYC Drupal Camp 2014
The Office of Information Communication Technology is hosting the 2014 NYC Drupal Camp. The event will focus on accelerated learning to help participants reach an intermediate level to advanced grasp of Drupal and related technologies. There also will be a training day to help beginners overcome the initial learning curve. Among the "e;sprints" – gatherings of developers focused on a project for a short time – scheduled are workshops focusing on Drupal’s multilingual capabilities and on strengthening website security. Other scheduled NYC Camp activities and events include:
- a one day non-profit & NGO summit bringing together organizations that are using open source technology;
- an introductory class for project managers focusing on how they can align projects with Drupal;
- a workshop focusing on the basic tools that the Drupal community uses to tackle problems together; and
- a keynote address by Ms. Atefeh Riazi, Assistant Secretary-General, Chief Information Technology Officer, followed by a panel on female leaders in technology with special guests from the Drupal community, including Ms. Holly Ross, Executive Director of Drupal (Saturday 12 April).
