United Nations Secretariat, Room S-2725

Ansaf Salleb-Aouissi, Ph.D.

Columbia University, Computer Science Department

Artificial intelligence and cognitive computing are topics increasingly mentioned in discussions about economics, ethics and policymaking. However, do you really know what artificial intelligence and cognitive computing actually are or how they work?

This talk will provide a practical introduction for participants with little or no computing background.

In-person participation in this event is limited to individuals holding a United Nations identification card, such as Member State delegates, representatives of civil society organizations, and personnel of United Nations Agencies, Funds and Programmes.

The event will also be video streamed live.

About the TechNovation Talks

OICT organizes this ongoing series of conversations to raise awareness among UN personnel, Civil Society and Member States on innovative ways in which technology can be applied to the work of the United Nations.
