Contingent Owned Equipment
United Nations member states contribute military personnel and police units to serve in 16 peacekeeping missions around the world. Not only do countries contribute troops and police units to an area, they also deploy the major equipment and self-sustainment services required to operate in challenging conditions. Contributing countries are financially reimbursed for their contributions by the Secretariat.
The Electronic Contingent Owned Equipment (eCOE) system provides a solution for the effective and efficient inspection of major equipment and self-sustainment in peacekeeping missions. Field missions use eCOE to manage inspections and ensure Member States are reimbursed for services and equipment that are in working order.
