1st place - Author: Mr. Abdulqadir Rashik "Global Policy" aims to provide a better understanding of the policy making process surrounding any particular topic by providing decision makers insights into three key areas.
3rd place - Author: Mr. Thomas Fournaise UN GAR explorer allows people to navigate in the resolutions to show which country voted what on each resolutions. It also allows to show correlation and some ther elements on the different graphs.
2nd place - Author: Mr. Ilkka Pelkonen
A solution to the Python challenge based on cell neighbor definitions and utilizing several processes to find the neighbors. Neighbor information can be saved to disk, reducing run time by about 98%. Requirements: Python 2.7.
Author: Mr. Cristian Felix - WHS Explore is a tool built to allow exploration of the WHS dataset. It uses a ring visualization associated with a wordcloud that can show relevant words for different variables including Topics and National Context.
This dynamic visualization allows the user to browse through Security Council Resolutions and their cross-cutting themes. The prototype displays resolutions relating to five UN Peacekeeping Missions - UNMIS, MONUC, MINUSTAH, UNAMID and UNOCI.
