Migrants and Humanitarian Action

The Special Session will seek commitments from source and host countries to put in place adequate measures to more effectively protect and assist vulnerable migrants stranded in countries in crisis situations, and migrants in mixed migration flows. The Session will look forward to the UN Summit on Refugees and Migrants in September 2016 and build support for the actions and pledges needed to effect a step change in the global response to migration flows.
