4th International User Group Meeting (IUGM4) for goAML

с среда, мая 31, 2017 (Весь день) по четверг, июня 1, 2017 (Весь день)

The 4th International User Group Meeting for goAML (IUGM4) will be co-hosted by the United Nations Office of Information and Communications Technology and the Financial Intelligence Unit the Netherlands from 31 May 2017 to 1 June 2017. GoAML is a tool that has been developed for Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) worldwide.

All countries are required to establish a financial intelligence unit (FIU) to serve as a national centre to receive and analyse suspicious transaction reports, other financial data and relevant information so that they might identify the proceeds of crime, money laundering, associated underlying predicate offences and terrorist financing[1]. The results of that analysis by the financial intelligence unit should be disseminated to the relevant law enforcement authorities within respective countries. The dissemination of financial intelligence should occur only through dedicated, secure and protected channels to protect the integrity of such information[2].

[1] The international standards are developed by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), have been endorsed and subscribed to by 187 countries.

[2] The relevant standard is set out in FATF Recommendation 29.
