Why did you decide on a career at the UN?
I decided to pursue a career at the United Nations because I wanted to use my skills to do meaningful work with a global impact. I am inspired by the UN’s mission and wanted to be a part of it. I also wanted to help give a voice to those who need to be heard and raise awareness of important issues.
What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?
My favorite initiative that I have been part of is the 'Hands on AI at the UN' series by #DigitalUnite, where we explore how artificial intelligence is transforming different departments and projects across the United Nations. It has given me the opportunity to hear diverse perspectives and see how AI is supporting colleagues in their work and helping to develop new initiatives.
What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?
I would encourage them to stay curious. If there is a field or topic that interests them, they should explore it and keep learning. And if they realize they want to build a career in it, I would tell them to go for it.
