Why did you decide on a career at the UN?
I am a military peacekeeper contributing to achieving the mandate of un. Un has given me experience in working in a multidimensional sector, which will benefit my country ghana and my career development
What has been your favorite technology project or initiative at the United Nations and why? What was your contribution?
I have been a training focal point for unite aware trainings for the military force. I assist the minusca fts during induction training where we dedicate a day for introductory unite aware training for the newcomers. I have also proposed a decentralized quarterly training for the sectors. Currently working on a survey to consolidate data on the impact of the unite aware training we have conducted so far and this will help us update the platform and its training
What advice would you give women interested in pursuing a field in technology?
I would like to encourage women interested in pursuing a field in technology not to relent on their efforts. I started my journey of delving into cybersecurity barely 2 years ago. You need to be determined and dedicated to achieving your aspiration. I am still working on myself and learning on my own to get a certification in cybersecurity. I am still a work in progress.
